The RypGolf ButterBlade is a unique training aid designed to improve ball-striking precision. The club is roughly half the size of a traditional 7-iron, forcing players to focus on hitting the sweet spot, a problem most of us struggle with, myself included. This smaller size delivers immediate feedback on off-center strikes, making it especially useful for those who want to refine their swing mechanics and face angle control. One of its key benefits is the confidence it builds. Something all of us need!
Since hitting the ButterBlade can feel a bit daunting at first, successfully using it can make returning to regular irons feel much easier. It provides strong feedback by twisting on mishits, which helps golfers become more aware of their impact location. However, it doesn’t directly teach face angle or swing path control, so some of the skills may not perfectly transfer to regular play.
While the ButterBlade doesn’t improve speed as RypStick, another RypGolf product, does, I can certainly attest that it is excellent for precision. I found a tighter dispersion and more consistent ball speed after just a few practice sessions. Additionally, the club is available in various shaft flexes to match your current setup, helping with skill transfer.
For golfers focused on improving accuracy and consistency, especially with center-face strikes, the ButterBlade is definitely a solid investment. For additional information to purchase click here.
